The bookers of small and medium-sized businesses are often either travelers themselves who are really inundated and overwhelmed, or they are admins or support team members that are balancing a lot of tasks.  As a result, many of these reservations are made off peak hours in the middle of the night or very last-minute.

The client needs a way to be able to make the reservations on their own.  So, make it easy for them to find the link with simple instructions.  Ease will often take precedent over rate.  Chain-wide discounts offered to small and mid-sized companies are not compelling enough by themselves.  The reality is, you are still competing with other brands and hotels in your market. Those that are the easiest to book with are going to win.
